Bebe & Sophie (Barbara & Susan’s)

We’ve gone straight from Chloe to Bebe and Sophie. Bebe is a small, white dog with eyes that will melt your heart. Sophie is a surprisingly friendly black cat that has the loudest cat voice I’ve ever heard. Both are sweet and live in a beautiful home that overlooks the third green. We have lovely sunsets and we get to critique a lot of golf shots and outfits!

We did manage to get a flat tire over the weekend - who knows how or where. Luckily, we were at a golf tournament a few weeks ago and our foursome won ‘most strokes.’ We have been sadly making fun of ourselves for that, but we won an air compressor that worked wonders in adding enough air in our tire to make it to the local tire shop! Once there, they said we had a random piece of metal in the tire. But, they were able to fix it, so we are back to being fully mobile.

On the same day that we got the tire fixed, we also managed to trip the whole house water management system. It happens when you run the water too long and the system thinks there is a leak and turns all of the water off in the house - oops! I’ll think twice next time I need to wash vegetables. Anyway, after waiting until it was morning in Amsterdam, Barbara called and walked me through how to get the water back on - rushing water is a lovely sound!

Not much new news to report at the house. We still have an ongoing saga with our wall safe. We wanted to put it in a certain location that was perfect for a secret little cubby. But, our safe (and nearly every other safe) is a right-hinged door. The cubby called for a left-hinged door, so no go. We then found a different spot for the safe. However, in the meantime, the safe door managed to get closed and locked with all of the keys inside - oops! I contacted the manufacturer and they recommended a backup battery to open the safe. So, I bought one of those. However, they neglected to mention that I would need an adapter to connect the backup battery to the safe. So, the saga continues as I wait for the adapter…
