Back to the Farm and DuEtte

Image
We have a break in our pet sitting gigs, so it is back to the farm and to DuEtte. This time, we are in charge of all of the animals because the owners are away. So, we get to feed and water the chickens, pigs, and goats! We’ve also invited Lulu’s mom, Kim, to bring her RV and camp with us for a night. Kim is a great chicken whisperer!! A good time was had by all. And, we did not lose any animals on our watch - a grand accomplishment!

No More Exterior Stone!

Image
We are finally rid of the exterior stone facade and the house looks so much better (IOHO)! And, it is one of the more visible changes that we’ve been able to see lately. So much of what they’ve been working on is behind the walls or up in the attic, so, not as much fun for us. But, we know we are getting closer to when things will really start to take shape. At least we are still progressing onward…

Lulu & Ripken - Part 2

Image
We were back watching Lulu & Ripken (mostly Lulu, but we did spot Ripken once). Lulu is very sweet and loves to be as close to you as possible - so much so that she often tried to wear my slippers while I was still in them!

Lacey (Lindy and Stephen’s)

Image
You know this pet sitting gig is working out when your friends arrange their vacation plans to accommodate your pet sitting availability! It is a win-win, so it is grand. We have been with Lacey since we left Charlie on March 27. Her parents went to New Zealand! Lacey is a sweet girl who gets anxious with too much over stimulation (a lot like me!). But, she loves it when you just keep her company and rub her belly. Lacey lives right around the corner from our house so it was easy to check on progress and walk over for meetings. We’ve met with the lighting designer (she approves of our lighting layout) and our landscape designer recently. We are getting closer on our potential landscape design, but still a ways to go…

Windows - Complete!

Image
All new windows now installed - yeah! It’s amazing how much sight line is opened up by replacing each of the two side-by-side windows with one big picture window. And, the window in the primary bath is also in and working. That means we can hit a button and the window will go opaque - cool!! See video:
