‘Pet Sitting for Room and Board and Laundry’ Gig #2

Image
Our next official pet sitting gig is at Mary Ellen and Dan’s for their cat Lucky - who thinks he is a dog. But, how easy is it to pet sit a cat! You don’t have to take it for a walk, you don’t have to bribe it with treats, and you don’t have to pretend to be another dog and play tug-o-war with it. Although, Lucky does love to sit in your lap and give you tender little head butts and lick your hair - all very endearing! We are nearly 2 weeks into the remodel and it has been the demolition phase. The first week was focused on pulling everything out - down to the studs. This second week has been focused on removing the flooring throughout. The removal of the flooring is the main reason that we needed to move out. This was at Marcia and Ned’s house on Trilogy Parkway where they needed us to watch Chuck and Maddy - two white terriorish pups that were just a pleasure once Maddy warmed up to us. We called her Licky Lips because she loves to give kisses. The good part of this gig for us was that it started on Monday and the movers were coming on Wednesday to pack up the house and Thursday to load the truck and take everything away to storage. Also, starting on Thursday, Daniel started some pre-demo work by removing everything that was salvageable and finding a new home or a new purpose for it. He is a hard worker and saved us a lot of g...
